Filters & Feedback Sample Pack - FREE

Fragile, unstable, and on the verge of disintegration.  These are the qualities inspired by this sample collection of unique oscillator sources.

This pack explores the simple beauty of using resonating filters, feedback from tape echoes, and noises, as sources for an oscillator.  Each synthesizer’s filter imparts its’ own unique character, as do the noises generating from feedback echoes.  No oscillators where used — only resonating filter feedback was used to create these instruments.  White noise was introduced into the filters signal path to create further instability.

It features 22 Ableton instruments which include 9 oscillator sources from vintage synthesizer filters, feedback from two tape echoes (the Binson Echorec and the RE-201), and four FM noise waveforms from the Mutable Instruments Plaits Eurorack module.

• 9 vintage synthesizer sources include the Arp 2600, Moog Model 15, Juno 106, Korg MS-20, Original Prophet 5, Roland SH-1, SH-101, System 100m, Moog Grandmother
• Further variations of the synths include running the Juno 106 and MS20 through tape for subtle pitch instability and warmth
• 22 Noise feedback loops from the Binson Echorec and the Roland RE-201
• 4 FM noise waveforms sampled from the Mutable Instruments Plaits module
• Instruments are accessible using a simple Ableton instrument rack or as individual WAVs.
• Morph between synths using the morph macro
• Snapshots for each synthesizer and noise machine are stored in the Ableton instrument rack
• All samples recorded at 24 bit 44.1 kHz via Apogee Symphony I/O and various preamps, edited and minimally eq’d for detail and low end balance
• Great for creating low-fi pads, textures, drones, adding movement to your tracks, nuanced chord structures, noise effects, and anything that demands something homegrown and embraces sound disintegration.

IMPORTANT: The Ableton Live instruments require Live 11 or higher.
